THE THING ITSELF
The Universal

This is a Universe of Wholeness, Allness, Oneness. Spirit is a transcendent, perfect Whole that, in Its Infinite Inclusivity, harmoniously embraces all seeming opposites.

A dictionary definition of perfect is: "lacking nothing essential to the whole; complete of its nature or kind."
This wholeness is what we mean when we say, "God is perfect."

This concept of the Higher Power as a Single Principle, an inseparable Wholeness, directly contradicts the belief in duality, which implies the existence of more than one power back of all things (God and the devil, for instance), Duality supposes opposing fundamental powers. Whole-
ness can (and does) produce a multiplicity of forms without disturbing Its Unity .But no second power, such as "evil," could exist within the One without destroying the fabric of Wholeness.

The seeming opposites in human Experience ¾ freedom and bondage, good and "evil," negative and positive ¾ can be seen, not as forces in conflict, but simply as two ways in which the One Power can be used.

THE WAY IT WORKS
The Human

Each human being is endowed with free will and can thus choose to experience freedom or bondage, abundance or lack, joy or misery, all of which lie within the Infinite Inclusivity of God.

Because my nature is a projection of God's nature, I have free will, the freedom to choose my own thoughts and follow my own paths. With this freedom comes the corollary - accountability for the outcomes of the
choices I make.

This implies the possibility of suffering or bondage if I have not understood or misused the Laws of Universal Harmony. What we call "evil" is not an entity or force of any kind. I, together with all other people, experience "evil" only to the degree that we are out of alignment with Universal Harmony. When we come back into alignment, the so-called evil disappears.

I am not punished for my mistakes of ignorance or negative behavior. But I must experience, through the impersonal action of the Law, the results of the choices I have made.

We believe in the unity of all life,
and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God.
