THE THING ITSELF
The Universal

In the Infinite Nature of God, all conceivable Good is eternally available, ready to flow into human experience. Through some Cosmic Process, this flow of Good is activated and/or increased by human belief, faith, and acceptance. The expression of this essential belief, faith, and acceptance is prayer.

The Law is ever ready to produce a form or condition to fit any pattern submitted to it by Spirit. Thus new forms continuously emerge in the Divine Creative Process.

In this process, prayer is a Power when it reveals that the one praying is in alignment with Universal Harmony, consciously recognizing Spiritual Truth that has always existed.  

Scientist W. F. G. Swann observed, "I am apt to regard [prayer] as all that we yet have for setting into motion that relationship between mind and matter as yet but little understood."

THE WAY IT WORKS
The Human

The human re-enactment of the Cosmic Creative Process is naturally happening, with or without our awareness. In this process, prayer, or spiritual mind treatment, is one effective way to increase our belief in and acceptance of the Universal Good, the Cosmic Well- Being inherent within us.

That which the Science of Mind calls spiritual mind treatment is affirmative, scientific prayer. The techniques of treatment are based on the triune nature of God and humankind. They assist me in clarifying my thought, my true desires, and my awareness of the process that is taking place.

However, an essential element in the effectiveness of my treatment, which underlies all my techniques, is my pervading consciousness of the Presence and Power of Spirit as my life, and my full acceptance of my inherent well-being and wholeness as the Spiritual Being that I am, right here, right now.

When I "treat," or pray effectively, I first bring my awareness of God's Presence to the highest point I can, at that time, attain; then I consciously follow the natural continuum of creation in co-creating the desired form of experience for myself. I recognize the Spiritual Truth of my being and my affairs and implant this recognition of Spiritual Truth in Universal law. Then I totally release the Word I have spoken to the action of Law and serenely expect its manifestation.

We believe that God is personal to all who feel this indwelling Presence.
